The idea of the establishment of the research center was proposed at 2013 and the combination of the members of the founding board was identified through the follow-ups, and the request of the establishment was proposed in the University research council, University Council, and research deputy of the health Ministry, respectively

The research center of the evidence-based care was established at 2013 under the chairmanship of Dr. Seyed Reza Mazloum at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences

At 2017, the responsibility of the center was assigned to Mrs. Nahid Golmakani

According to the decision issued in the 269^th session of the development council of Medical Sciences Universities of the country dated at October 28 2018, an agreement was reached in principle with the change of the title of the center to the Nursing and Midwifery Care Research Center

Since March 2018, the responsibility of the center has been under the responsibility of Dr. Samira Ebrahimzadeh Zaghmi
